In the wake of Burning Ember’s completion, Refuge has quietly begun work on a new and exciting project. Fantasy Makers, a documentary project that examines fantasy, faith and the lasting influence that the early fantasy writers still have on pop culture today, begins shooting this week.
Plans are to finish shooting some time in early summer 2015 as the Fantasy Maker project will follow some unique and fascinating people who are deeply immersed in the world of fantasy through academic, theological, artistic and cosplay pursuits. Yes. We did just use theological and cosplay in the same sentence. It should make for a wildly entertaining and engaging year.
